This free tool checks whether an image or video carries C2PA content credentials -- a tamper-evident record of how and where content was created. All content generated by Cinetell is signed with C2PA credentials so you can always verify its origin.
This tool is provided in accordance with California SB 942 (AI Transparency Act), which requires AI content providers to make a free detection tool available on their website. Files you upload are read locally in your browser and are never sent to Cinetell servers.
Content credentials are based on the C2PA open standard from the Content Authenticity Initiative. For a comprehensive third-party verification experience, you can also use the CAI Verify tool.
A negative result (no credentials found) does not confirm content is human-made. Many AI tools do not yet embed content credentials. Only a positive result confirming Cinetell credentials guarantees the content originated from this platform.
